I work in the micro labs in the product quality team where I test different samples of tablets created by Astra Zeneca for any bacterial/fungal presence.
I perform different stages of the tablet testing process, in which the team all pick up different areas.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I do really enjoy the program most of the time. Most people are friendly and are willing to help when you have questions. However, it has been really stressful trying to balance working everyday with university studying.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learned so many new skills within my role and my knowledge on biology has also increased massively. Aside from the skills i have learned that relate to the role, i have become more confident and comfortable with presenting, and have also learned how to time manage much better.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

It seems some what organised, however for a good while when i first started i was left on my own with nothing to do. I have since learned things but very slowly am i being trained and often my training gets forgotten about half way through so is never completed.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a fair amount of support when i need it yes, mainly from my collegues around me and not my managers.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

From the tutors themselves, almost no support has been received, especially since I have been struggling lately and they wont help, half the time they wont reply. However, the support i get from my mentor who doesn't actually teach the subject is great, she often has meetings with me and always gives me advice when i need it.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification links to my role at times, and it also allows me to learn and remember what the role im doing is for
