Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
At the moment our role is to learn as much as possible from as many different business lines as possible, so in the future we can become account managers or specialists and be able to know enough to sell to our customers. We need to learn all the skills we can to be successful sales people this time next year.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoy my programme, i didn't realise i would love it as much as i do but i know this is the right position for me and i am excited to be properly in role this time next year. I am constantly learning and also given the opportunity to learn whilst doing tasks. The amount of exposure i have had to people as well has been incredible.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
i have learnt so many skills so far, more than I thought i would have. I personally thought I would have developed skills I already have but I've actually learnt a lot more. On how you can use questions to control what a customer is thinking and also developing my presentation skills massively even though i was already confident with them, theres alot more ive learnt since.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Our programme is extremely well structured and organised, i always know where i am and what i am doing the following day. We only had one issue with firebrand being cancelled 2 weeks in a row and not being told until we were already on the call but that wasn't computacenters fault so i can't complain.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
One thing i love most about my programme is how supported i feel by multiple different people, i dont just feel like another person, people want us to do well and that is very obvious. I get the support when i am struggling, I get support when i need to find out something and i get support when im wanting to progress.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
We have only just started so it is hard to say how much support we are getting from them. We have catch ups booked in every 6 or so weeks but i havent heard from them since my last one. The training in particular was good and steve was very informative and i felt like i could ask him questions, but overall cant really say yet.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
So far I have learnt somethings from the one training session we've had so far and im hoping i will be able to take these into my role, but i do believe so far I am learning more from my actual job than the training sesssions
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
yes so many different social events for us to take part in which really gives us the feel of being in the office and around people, this also gives us the best opportunity to network and work with people we may not have before in a fun way!

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Computacenter to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Already, I can tell i want to be here for years. I have never felt so valued by a company even though ive only just begun and i dont know much yet! Every single person wants to put effort into my career to help me grow and i already feel like part of the family!
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Computacenter?
Be yourself! They want to hire someone with the character, mindset and fun spirit so don't loose it when trying to come across like a machine who can only speak off a script. Also believe that they actually do care, you aren't just a number to them. You can tell this from the second you get your first package through before you've even got the job! They really do care about you
