I am training to be a machinist. At the moment I study at college and will learn units which I am studying. Which include practical work. The first year is a Level 2 course. But once I have finished my first year I start my Level 3 and will begin working on placements in the business.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Very good, even with the current covid rules

4/5
Yes. So far I have completed a business improvement course and I'm learning everyday through college.

Structure and Support

Can be a bit confusing at the start, but once you start working it begins to all make sense.

Feel Very supported
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Feel very supported
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The qualifications I receive are necessary in the role I will do. So they help me perform better, by actually having the knowledge to do the job.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, there are many extra events you can do, you can help the company in the local community through certain schemes, such as going into schools, and as a large company there are always things popping you can take part in. There is also an internal social network, which has groups that you are free to join and can arrange things.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Rolls-Royce to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Everything I have experienced so far is great.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Rolls-Royce?
Be yourself, be confident, and show them how great you are, by showing the company what you can offer to them. Make yourself a good investment, for what the company would want to invest in. And be sure to research the company, the subject area, and make sure you know as much as you can about it. Don't think there is ever to much to know or show.
