Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
The project management scheme offers the opportunity to rotate around the business in 6 month placements so daily day-to-day tasks can vary dependant on what business area you are in. The majority of placements involve leading a project through its lifecycle within the constraints of time cost and quality. There is a need for softer skills such as stakeholder management and collaboration and team work.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I do enjoy the work as well as the team environment. However, the enjoyment bases solely if the placement you get placed in is good. If that is not to standard and you don't get the support you need it can not be enjoyable at all.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt a variety of skills, behaviours and developed my knowledge in PM. RR offers a range of internal and external training courses which can help to expand knowledge form PM to engineering. I have learnt softer skills such as how to network as well as core PM competencies.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
It is very well organised i would say in terms of training support ect. only improvement would be to assign mentors within the business to help develop skills etc
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I would say in placement majority of the time the manager is a good support. The ADL is good as a support
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
my tutor is very supportive with feedback and organising sessions to help me understand tasks better.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Mine is very helpful for my day to day tasks as i have to apply a lot of my PM knowledge i have learnt within my degree. Without my degree i would have probably struggled with a lot of tasks within placement without previous knowledge
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are a variety of extra-curricular activities ti get involved with ranging from RR sport teams to social events like carnivals etc. You can join local employee engagement teams
