Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
To help out around the office with multiple task, this could be from running risk reviews, to helping identify a budget to organising a project (eg making a video).
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I do enjoy it, everyone is really friendly and accepting and you can always speak to someone if you are finding it too hard or that you feel like your not being pushed enough.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Learnt so many new things, mostly from the work experience rather than from the university.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
At the start it was clearly how my placement in work would run and when I would change, but from a university perspective it was very confusing at times
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
If you need help there will always be people out there. You just need to make a support bubble. There are a lot of people who are willing to take the time to help you, the only people who struggle are those who are always busy, but if they cant immediately help they will try to find time with in a week
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
They provides lectures like any university, if you need extra help you do need to ask them and they will try to explain
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
The first part of my course really did help, but I find most of the good and needed learning I get is from my placements. University can help me see the bigger picture sometimes but not help much with my day to day job.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There was pre COVID. There has obviously been less since but still talks going on like professional networking events. There is an association for apprenticeships and graduates which had a few social meets which was very fun.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Rolls-Royce to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Everyone is so friendly and its a lovely place to work. I have also learnt so much.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Rolls-Royce?
Going through the process you need to make sure you answer any questions they ask and research the company. Try to find out what Rolls-Royce wants and match your self to them skills where you can. Also don't be afraid, in my interviews I came across as very confident which I believe helped, but I was terrified inside, the examiners are people just like you and me, Prove to them that they want you.
