Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Dealing with non-standard underwriting referrals for home insurance polices. This includes complaints handling and fraud investigations.
Supporting call centre agents with technical underwriting queries as well as authorising requests that require a higher licence approval after risk assessment.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I am enjoying the programme a lot as I am driven to better myself and this program allows myself to do achieve this.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes - have acquired a deeper knowledge/understanding from modules studied so far, for example accounting standards from M92 and contract law from M05.
I have proactively applied these learnings to my day to day role to provide a better experience for all stakeholders I interact with.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
It is very well structured, from the introduction session to the monthly 1-2-1 meetings to help track/support progress. These are supported with portals to record learnings/achievements.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
There was some confusion at the start of the program in terms of time allowed off for study time - but this has now been sorted and my Team Coach is extremely supportive of my development and attends meeting with myself and apprenticeship coach when invited.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I have a dedicated coach who provides a lot of support when required and is extremely knowledgeable in their field.
They make themselves available all the time - not just during monthly meetings.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
By linking in learnings and setting bespoke assignments with my current role - the training provider has integrated my learning to my role and this is evident in the feedback I have received from my peers.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
There are multiple extra-curricular activities being arranged in my workplace - however due to the pandemic all of them are currently online/virtual.
