Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Spectating others do electrical jobs and then completing those jobs by myself with supervision with constructive feedback, maintenance of electrical components and fittings/ install new equipment.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy learning as much as I can and practising for the future jobs, I enjoy doing jobs by myself that I have learnt how to do from others.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt how to terminate cables, test and fault find, also trace circuits.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

It is organised, i work 4 days a week and go to college to learn once a week. It's a good balance between theory and practical.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

If I am in need of support I will ask and I will get the help I need, the key is to ask.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I get a lot of support from my training provider inside and out of college days and hours, if I am ever stuck I can ask for help and they tell me what I am aiming for and give me targets to reach.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It helps me understand what I can already do physically and I understand the theory behind it all which goes together nicely.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There currently isn't any that I am aware of but during work I have made friends and organised things for outside of work to do, such as going to the gym, etc.

Because Engie is full of surprises and young people need to learn for the world to move on, there is a lot of room for learning and self improvement during the courses.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Equans UK & Ireland?
I would say just be yourself and be honest, explain your future goals and emphasise your willing to learn.
