Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My apprenticeship is based in different departments of the business therefore meaning I get exposure to many parts of the business. On a day to day basis at the moment I am dealing with suppliers and supplier order books.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme as I believe it has and will continue to give me exposure to various areas of the business. This will then help me to identify where I wish to take my career further.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, communications between internal and external personnel. Also computer skills and being able to work out mathematical information to assist in my daily roles

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I believe it is well structured with transitioning placements and organising college days/masterclasses.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I believe that we receieve a good amount of support from our areas that we are in.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Yeovil College always support my journey and my lecturer is always able to answer any questions I have as quickly as possible

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I believe that it helps me dig deeper into my role and evalute what I take part in, however, with me being early in the programme it is hard to say that the college work that I am doing has a direct and noticeable impact on my performance yet.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

At the moment not physcially, however, Leonardo host a number of virtual activities for employees to part-take in at their own pleasure.

I believe Leonardo is a brilliant way to start your career path and has loads of opportunity for growth and development in the future. Also as mentioned the placement changes allows you to get exposure to different departments of the business.
