Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

i was a trainees associate, Flying start, i had to cast documents, do tie outs, select samples for testing and also document sample testing. I was the most junior member of the team in all the clients that i had engaged with at this placement and it was a really great experience. Every day we had catch up calls and our progress was tracked. I had to help in any work that was available to work at that time
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme up to a very high extent as it is a combination of having practical work experience at a prestigious firm like PwC and also having university experience the other semester when the placement at PwC ends. Having the experience to work in such firm from such a young age made me keen that i will be better and more prepared in the future when i want to certify an ACA qualification.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

yes i developed my time management skills due to the regular calls and all the deadlines that we had to. i learned to be efficient in the task that i am allocated at and developed the skill of tie through documents. I have developed my excel related skills and my communication skills. Effective communication is required for the audit to progress in the best possible way. Teamwork was another skill i developed as we all had to work together in the team.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is very well structured as it includes the first semester going into the placement getting all the experience learning new things about the work environment. and the second semester includes returning back to university and adapting what we have learned at work to the modules that we are supposed to cover. For example in this time that we have an Audit and assurance exam we will be able to adapt better in the module as we've worked at it
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer was really helpful and always there to answer any question or anything that i was uncertain at. Like in every job work is really busy so he tried to always make time and help me. Generally it was a really good coaching
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Training provider was really helpful as it gave me an insight and some basic knowledge that i had to had before commencing my placement at PwC. He was wlays there answer our questions and help us when he could, despite having training remotely due to this unprecedented times of Covid-19 pandemic.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Always be professionally sceptical and think before doing anything. It is a professional environment so an appropriate attitude is needed
