Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

The work changed day-to-day but generally it would consist of project work as part of a team, interacting with varied ranking members in the company as well as external clients. Lots of responsibility is given from day 1 and is only increased as time goes on. Tasks varied from preparing and giving presentations to performing coding in both front and back end.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I very much enjoyed my programme, so much so that I will be continuing after University. The work is challenging and varied, whilst the team members are friendly and eager to help your development. The culture is very much together with the aim of continuous improvement.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learned and developed many hard skills such as SQL, python and Relativity. I have also worked on soft skills such as presenting, communication and networking.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme was very well structured. Beginning with a meeting day a month before it began, to introduce me to some of the team as well as other new joiners as well as a chance to network. Then the first two weeks consisted of more induction and training, as well as a week abroad on a training camp. With a buddy and career coach, the support system was strong.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

All employees are focused on providing support to junior members but specifically having a career coach aided with answering any questions and making sure I was progressing my career and not stagnating.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Whilst there is a focus on chargeable work, there is also pushes for employees to engage in business development and learning and development. This can consist of qualifications, of which I achieved many during my time.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification will greatly help me perform better as it is the career I will be continuing after University. I will use this year as a base for the rest of my career.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There were many extra curricular activities. I was part of football and rock climbing but there are many more. There is also many networking events such as the final thursday of every month. There is also up to 5 days per year that can be dedicated to charitable work.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
PwC care most about the type of person you are and your attitude. If your drive and character aligns with that of the "PwC person" then you will do well.
