Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
The role was really interesting, working on range of insurance clients with one being in the FTSE 100. General day to day work consisted of liasing with clients, selecting samples to be tested and documenting work from client supporting documentation on less complex areas.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
The programme was very enjoyable, as well as the work the team environment really made the experience, this helps with long hours that are put in.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt more excel skills since starting the job, as well as learning accounting treatments through the ICAEW professional qualification exams. My business acumen has also increased being able to get exposure on a wide range of companies and how they operate.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
As an intern you follow the same structure as an Associate graduate, the structure is well laid out and you are able to navigate your progression, especially through ICAEW exams
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
Support in terms of coaching through work was excellent, but that is due to all members of the team that I worked on. I also received a lot of support from my personal manager.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
we received paid training days to work with KAPLAN to get us to the level to take our exams. This could be weeks of remote and on-site learning.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
The qualification gives you a much better understanding of accounting treatments which help better your approach to certain tasks and tailor questions to managers.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5

Despite long hours at times there is a very friendly and team first culture which is great for social opportunities
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
