Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I am an apprentice fitting engineer so on an average day involves fitting parts to an engine fancase and also shadowing an engineer to learn the role.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy the programme very much and look forward to getting back to work soon

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt and developed many skills both practical and technical, before I began the role I wasn’t the most practical person; however, now I would say I am able to complete practical tasks that aren’t to a huge degree of difficulty relatively easy.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
1/5
The programme overall isn’t very organised I would have to say. For example not finding out where I was going on placement until the Friday afternoon before I started on the Monday morning.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
I receive adequate support from my employer and always feel like there is enough support.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
I always feel like there is enough support available and never feel helpless
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It does help me better perform my role as I have a greater understanding of how the engines I’m working on perform
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
I am not sure about this
