I am a customer service advisor in the credit card department. I deal with a wide range of queries and request on a regular basis. I specialise in providing financial support to customers who are struggling financially.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have developed so many skills since working here. There is plenty of opportunity to progress further. I have become very knowledgable within the banking industry and developed my confidence.

4/5
Very structured. We have coursework that need to be completed by certain deadlines. I am given time each week to complete these.

4/5
Adequate support. Most of the coursework I did was on an individual basis. If I needed help, my employer was happy to assist.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
A fair amount. They have guided me through the apprenticeship programme and told me exactly what I need to do to get high grades. They have been very helpful.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Being on the programme has allowed me to get involved in more opportunities, allowing me to remain motivated. This has pushed me to develop my knowledge, skills and experience further.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are lots activities to get involved in for example, charity events such as netball and football matches, raffles, cake sales etc.. I arranged a community day last year to help out at little havens. There are regular meetings with bank executives and other professional networking events.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend NatWest Group to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Lovely place to work and comes with so many benefits. There are lots of room for progression.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest Group?
If your first job is on the phones, you may find it difficult at first. It’s really not that bad once you fully understand the role. Some days we are busier than others. When it’s really busy it can be draining as you don’t get much time off the phones. All in all a good place to work and comes with many benefits and opportunities.
