Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As an apprentice we become a member of a team within the company and do 6 monthly rotations to gain new knowledge and to sign off our NVQ Level 4.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy meeting all the new people and experiencing different areas of the business.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt how to do a lot of practical engineering skills within the first year at college and gained knowledge of the company, products and software whilst in the business.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

It’s fairly well structured in the fact it’s college full time in the first year and then 6 month placements around the business in the following 3 years.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

A lot of support and we are regularly communicating with our ADL.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Only support whilst at the University and we get check ins from one of the universities representatives every progress review.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It has enhanced my engineering skills knowledge making it easier to understand things within the roles.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
