Collaborating with trainees, associates and partners to assist with conducting practical legal research, reviewing documents/contracts, cross-referencing, drafting legal documents/client emails, attending client meetings and taking part in office-wide and probono initiatives.

Yes - trusted to work on live client matters, manage/control certain tasks with little to no oversight

Significant amounts- regular catch-up conversations with supervising solicitor, had a trainee buddy there to support you throughout, wider team approachable to address any questions/concerns if needed, Early Careers team also attended office and scheduled regular meetings

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I thoroughly enjoyed the summer internship as it provided a valuable opportunity to gain practical insight into the legal profession. I appreciated the chance to work alongside experienced solicitors and observed how legal theory is applied in live client matters. The highlights were assisting with legal research and drafting documents for ongoing matters - developing my analytical and written communication skills, whilst contributing to the wider team.
This has given me a clearer understanding of the responsibilities of a trainee, including client interactions, document preparation, and team work.
