Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The first 3 days were in London where we had various talks, workshops and networking opportunities. We then went back to our home offices where we did 3 weeks across 2 departments. The tasks varied from research to drafting advice notes, every day was different.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Everyone at the firm is very proud to be a part of it. Everyone I interacted with was genuinely kind and supportive. They were always happy to provide feedback, advice or a casual chat. Everyone is committed to aligning with the new strategy and doing their best for the business. It would be an incredible firm to be a part of.

I learnt and developed many skills on this programme. The key ones were task and time management, teamwork, communication and resilience.

How would you rate business leader involvement during the insight

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The firm very much has a people-focused culture and atmosphere. Everyone is very friendly and approachable. There is a positive atmosphere, with everyone being quite chatty but also very committed to their work. The partners made time to explain their roles and teams, as well as offering advice throughout the internship. Overall it was a nice environment to be in and felt motivating rather than intimidating.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I had a great 3.5 weeks with a fantastic bunch of interns. Everyone was friendly and approachable. We all supported each other and found genuine friendships. I feel like I learned so much in each of my departments and managed to get a real variety of work across different areas. I was able to really understand so much of the work the firm does thanks to those involved taking the time to explain everything.

Genuinely go into it being yourself. Be open to talking to new people, be inquisitive and hard working.
