Summer Vacation Schemer Review

Daily panels and sessions on each team at Latham, learning about the work lawyers do and how each area links together.
Completed a research task per week while doing real work and having coffee chats with trainees and lawyers.
Interviewed for a training contract and had the opportunity to learn about what interested us most.

It was extremely fun and somewhat satisfying to receive insights into how different sectors work together and contribute to the completion of a deal or case.
Hearing from lawyers or various seniority reminded me of the flat hierarchy at the firm and reinforced my desire to train and practise at the firm.

Built on transferrable skills like communication and teamwork, alongside growing my motivation for the field of commercial law and, specifically, Latham.
Learnt about the impact of strong inter-company relationships, alongside testing my attention to detail and proactivity in a professional, legal environment.

Every employee was willing to have an open conversation about their role within the firm, as well as their journey towards the firm.
It signalled high employee motivation and a willingness to work together to achieve shared goals. A very positive company culture on show!
