Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Every day is different but consists of:
Delivering and collecting cars
Writing contracts and serving customers
Admin
Creating new business accounts for growth
Marketing - maintaining client relationships
Driving customer satisfaction scores
Tailoring each customers experience to them
Training and development opportunities throughout the year

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I definitely took on a lot of responsibility and felt as though I was a crucial member of my branch’s operations. I was tasked with many different opportunities every day that my manager knew I was more than capable of. This allowed me to feel very proud of what I had achieved, and the work I did every day

Developed:
- communication in person, over the phone and with corporate clients
- driving, your confidence driving any vehicle or will increase
- customer service, learning how to provide excellent customer service and resolve issues so that every customer leaves feeling as though they have been looked after

- multiple different software the company uses
- sales pitches and how to know when to tailor to different customers
- managing fleet health
- growth

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
The support and guidance is there, but it can be very difficult to find the time to set aside with managers/colleagues. However everyone is very supportive and all trainees want to help each other and take free time to ask questions and explain things to one another. Having a great team was crucial in my development

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Company culture and atmosphere was great at events like intern days/international women’s day. But in the branch it was very stressful and draining at times. I had a great team who uplifted each other though which has made the world of difference. In terms of managers creating an atmosphere, every manager I have had as always made an effort to increase morale

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I am very 50/50 with this question. On a positive note, I have met great people and worked with an amazing team. I am proud of what I have achieved and my resilience throughout. However I have had a hard time and my branch, not only was I constantly working overtime, but my branch is 45 mins away from home so mentally I was struggling with the long days, not to mention the cost of fuel. I tried to get moved to a local branch for the last few months of my placement but I was completely disregarded by my area manager.

What advice would you give to others applying to Enterprise Mobility
This can be a fantastic opportunity, but it’s not for everyone. It is very heavily sales focused - you cannot progress in the company unless you meet sales targets. You will work very long hours so must be mentally strong and you have to be selfish with your time. You will meet some amazing people and have a laugh whilst achieving things you never thought you would.
