Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I work on an independent assay development project within high throughput screening which involves a mix of lab work, data analysis and data communication.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I have been given primary responsibility over the progression of my project and the directions it should be taken in. On top of this I have been given the chance to get involved and apply my work so far to other active projects in the department.

This placement has massively improved my scientific communication skills as well as giving me experience in a significant number of lab based techniques that I can carry forward into my remaining time at university and in my future career.
