Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
As a Management Trainee Intern you are given the chance to be part of a wider community in a vast company where each and every employee started at the same position - either as an intern or management trainee. On a daily basis you gain valuable experience:
Customer service - through face-to-face and over-the-phone interactions with customers.
Fleet Management - managing and allocating cars on site and due to be returned to meet the demand of the current days reservations.
Sales - through rigorous training and guidance to meet the unique needs of every customer.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
As an intern, you are given a lot of responsibility. From the minute you join a branch, you feel like a valued member. As the end goal of an internship is to become a management trainee, you are given as much responsibility as those who are in the company longer in order to upskill and learn what it takes to become a management trainee.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I’ve developed a number of skills throughout my internship, the main one being confident communication. I had previous customer service experience, however the level of training and guidance given throughout the internship enabled me to gain a stronger sense of confidence in my communication which translated to more effective interactions with both my colleagues and each customer I engage with. Accountability is another skill I developed; through the strong structure and systems in place in the company, I could clearly see what my role was for each day and what I needed to achieve to ensure operations run smoothly throughout the day.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Enterprise Mobility to a friend?
Yes
What advice would you give to others applying to Enterprise Mobility
As customer service is at the forefront of daily operations in enterprise mobility, they look for outgoing sociable candidates who will endeavour to ensure each customer is well looked after. As such, I’d advise others looking to apply to give off a sense of their personality in the interview process and show the company that they are confident with daily customer interactions.
