Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

My role involves doing various functions and day to day tasks that make up the supply chain. Some involve digital tasks such as processing orders and verifying supplier details. Whilst other physical tasks involve maintaining the quality board and posting purchase invoices

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

The responsibility i was given was increased over time. I had the opportunity to take on new tasks at my own will and was able to increase my workload if i felt confident i’d be able to manage it

I have learnt to use excel, SAP and salesforce software. I have also gained presentation skills and analytical skills when looking for patterns in the supply chain

Culture was very work oriented but was also supportive. There was a culture of skills enrichment and internal growth through pursuing higher roles or gaining external qualifications

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I enjoyed my placement considerably as I wasn’t doing repetitive tasks. I had the opportunity to try new things and was rotated into four different teams which all taught me varied skills
