Reporting and Insight Analyst Review

Data reconcilliation to ensure inbound data is accurate for internal reporting
Creating and distributing reports for external companies who use our products/services
Project work, closely tied in with wider projects for creating a visual output of data
bug fixing and general enquiries on data completeness and internal aid with understanding data
Team meeting to allow wider team to understand the stages of projects/issues to be discussed

I was given full responsibility from the moment i joined the company, no restrictions and no barriers to stop me trying new things. The ability to get involved in major projects has never been easier and contributing towards the wider team. There are still some normal admin jobs like inbox management but that should come to no suprise, though that is a very little percentage of what you can actually do. Full creative freedom of designing dashboards and insightful data with no limitation from managers/collegues

Coding is a massive skill that has been developed, major exposure to raw data and no barriers/restrictions put in place on sensitive data/ large data sets
Communication and how important it is to clearly get a point across and professionally speak with people within the business
Project management has been expanding on of making sure that all stakeholders are up to date on the progress of projects, as well as constantly checking to ensure the final product is to their standard

I recieved a lot of support from my internal team and manager to develop personal skills as well as work specific attributes. Weekly meetings with the team and the ability to speak to anyone, no matter how high up in the organisational tree has helped with getting an array of support from the wider business. I have been guided a lot at the start of the placement but have been allowed to find my own way within the business, contributing where I can.

It is very easy to talk to anyone within the department or the wider departments. It is very relaxed and not the very stereotypical corporate setting as most would expect. You can very much be yourself and express your intrests in and outside of work freely. Not being tied to your desk all day and have the ability to go and talk to people in person instead of having to do meetings over Teams boosts morale

I extremely enjoyed the placement and highly reccomend others to apply. The roles are all very diverse and the large undergraduate cohort is amazing for social aspects in and outside of work. The ability to not be seen as just an Undergraduate and more of an employee makes you feel seen and valued within the company
