The role is very varied, but the main day-to-day is supporting the TPS Network. This ranges from issues with systems, administration tasks, general queries, and larger scale operations projects like introducing new systems and processes that allow the network to function more efficiently. The role includes a lot of problem solving ability, and the ability to work creatively to find solutions to variuos problems, as well as networking and communication to ensure clarity in communication between head office and the TPS network.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given a large Amont of responsibility - more than I was expecting to be given coming into this experience. I have been given various business critical tasks like deploying an £8m pound telephony system, paying up to £700,000 worth of customer rebates each month, and maintaining supplier relations on behalf of the company and the network as a whole.
