Customer Services Intern Review

This involves dealing with queries raised by customers regarding orders. Whether it be a return, a credit reinvoice or applying credit. It also involves fixing any invoicing issues whether it be from our distributors or to our suppliers.

Yes I was given a lot of responsibility and had a real impact on the business. Working within business operations meant that my work was necessary for the business to operate smoothly. I could see the benefits of the work I did and could measure the impact through the amount of cases I had solved.

I have learned how to use Softcat's systems, communication and collaboration skills, presentation skills, problem solving and critical thinking skills. It built on many existing skills and helped me develop and fit within a workforce.
Working at Softcat hugely increased my confidence, both in working with people and facing unfamiliar situations.

I received a lot of support. I had regular catch ups with my team leader and had a mentor from the start who supported me on the training but also helped me whenever I needed it.
Additionally, my entire team was always happy to help where possible.

The atmosphere was very fun and lively. The people who work here are quite happy and the company always has things on for it's employees such as events and parties.

I enjoyed it very much. I learned a lot and had a really good time the entire way, making friends along the way and doing meaningful, important work.
