Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My role involves a mix of supporting the team with ongoing projects and learning about the beauty industry and PR landscape. I might be drafting creative briefs, researching media outlets and influencers, monitoring social media, or assisting with event planning. A large part of my role involves staying up-to-date on the latest beauty trends and news so I can contribute effectively to our communication strategies
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I was entrusted with a good deal of responsibility during my internship. I've owned projects from start to finish, including developing briefs for external agencies, coordinating the creation of PR mailers, and assisting with event planning and execution.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
As a PR intern, I've become much more confident and effective in my day-to-day communications, especially when interacting with clients and media contacts. I've learned to manage my time more efficiently to juggle multiple projects and deadlines, and I'm becoming increasingly adept at understanding client needs and tailoring my approach accordingly. I'm also developing stronger presentation skills, which are vital for conveying information clearly and persuasively.
