Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Every day is not the same in my role at L'Oréal and I mean that in the best possible way. In my role as the A&I intern I supported with many different tasks such as assisting with reaching out to influencers, supporting with the creation of posts on various platforms. Working with different agents and distributors in assisting in VIP and community events and also ensuring content is being made. There is also more data based tasks focused on creator efficiency and reports that help with the future plans of the business as it continues to grow in the everchanging digital landscape.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
From your first day at L'Oréal, you'll be entrusted with tasks and projects that contribute to the company's success and inform its future decisions. Your responsibilities will expand in line with your professional development. The company and your colleagues will support you in reaching your full potential. Ultimately, the pace of your growth is in your hands. Driven and agile early-career individuals who are eager to learn and grow will find their responsibilities and the impact of their projects increasing over time.

During your time here at L'Oréal you will learn and develop lots of different skills. Skills include but are not limited to: leadership, team working skills, communications skills, cross functional capabilities, analytical skills, qualitative and quantitative skills. At loreal you really have the ability to control how you develop so you cold develop a wide variety of skills drastically different to what you could ever imagine. You drive how you develop.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
As an intern at L'Oréal, I've been struck by the incredible support systems they've created. There are dedicated programs and initiatives covering everything from mental and financial wellness to career development. My manager has been incredibly supportive, always available to offer guidance and help me grow. The Early Careers and HR teams are also fantastic resources, providing comprehensive support and ensuring I have a fulfilling experience. But it goes beyond that – there's a real culture of peer support and collaboration here. Everyone is willing to help each other out and celebrate each other's successes. It's a truly enriching environment.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
My time at L'Oréal has been an absolutely invaluable experience. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would be thrilled to return as a graduate and, hopefully, one day, in a leadership position. The people here are truly exceptional, genuinely invested in my growth and development. I was given the opportunity to contribute to a variety of functions, experiencing a breadth of exposure that extended far beyond my initial role. I even had the chance to lead several impactful projects, which was incredibly rewarding. In just a short time, L'Oréal has significantly accelerated my professional development, and I'm immensely grateful for the experience.
