Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Data analysis and weekly ingestion of Sales Data received from all PPD retailers.
Management of new products launches from all PPD brands and ensuring they are set up on the online sites of retailers.
Working with the wider L'Oreal PPD team on salon/hair stylist based projects and masterclasses.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given major responsibilities in my placement. An example would be my data role. The entirety of the Ecommerce Team relies on my weekly data ingestion to not only be 100% accurate but on time every time. Additionally, I am the sole person responsible for data, with no other intern or full time employee having this role

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

My communication skills have been my weakest skill going into the placement. I struggled with efficiency and clarity when it comes to communication, often leading to misunderstandings or confusion.
Now, I am very confident with my communication. I've improved it to ensure my communication is clear and concise, making sure everyone understands me fully.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I received full support and guidance from my team and line manager during the placement. Without their help, I wouldn't have been able to learn and work on my tasks correctly.
