Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
I attended some interesting presentations by some of the employees at HSBC, they spoke about what working in technology would involve. Also some postgraduate employees spoke about the application process when applying for placements as well as other opportunities at HSBC.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
The insight week was quite informative about HSBC as a business, there could have potentially been a more in-depth overview of all the potential roles available, however the speakers did talk about their roles and what those involve.

The company culture and atmosphere seemed to be very supportive and inclusive, there was a lot of emphasis on diversity and inclusivity which was very encouraging.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I thoroughly enjoyed the insight, it was also good that it was spread out over a couple of days, as this meant that if you couldn’t attend one of the events, you had the chance to attend a similar one on a different day

Definitely attend insight weeks, spring weeks etc in order to get a better understand of the company, as well as roles available.
