Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

My role as a multinational intern involves daily adhoc/ admin tasks, managing distributor relationships, creating excel matrixes for the wider multinational team, and manaing the rebate/ referral fee process for our global reseller partners

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given the responsibility of the rebate/ referral fee process which made a positive impact on my career as it was a challenging task that involved consistent communication and technical understanding of Softcat's internal system. Therefore I'd say I was given a big responsibility

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I refined my excel skills by dealing with data for our Financial year 2024 and 2025 as well as my communication skills via teams and outlook. This has been paramount to my corporate journey as I feel more equipped to handle an operational situation or challenge - it has given me more confidence.

Better than I had initially expected - this company has truly showed that they value individual through things like incentive holidays, freebies and so much more
