Speaking with our customers to help them optimise their cloud spend. This involves onboarding them to our Cloud Health tool, and providing the customer with visability, optimisation, and governance for their cloud environment. The role is heavy on data analysis, so skills in Excel are advantagous

I was given alot of responsibility once I was able to prove myself in certain areas. Since this is only an internship I wasnt expected to perform to the same standards are everyone else, however I was given many opportunities to run projects and customer calls solo, which shows the responsibility I was given.

Some skills I learned were data analysis, learning to use the CloudHealth tool & Excel, scripting in Python.
Some exisiting skills I developed were presentation and communication skills. The fact that the role was customer facing also helped with my confidence massively.

I was given lots support every step of the way. The team around me was super helpful in ensuring I was happy and if I needed any help with my day-to-day

The culture of Softcat is something very unique. There are always company events going on, people regardless of departments are very friendly. I had the opportunity to shadow teams that were completely unrelated to what my role was. There are also many office specific events which helped me make some friends in my local office.

I really enjoyed every single day with Softcat. There was always something new I could learn or develop on. The job never got boring as I was taught everything the team does, and had the opportunity to take some of these responsibilties which developed alot of skills.
