Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My role consists of planning, executing and measuring global trade shows whilst appropriately and consistently representing the Cummins brand image at all shows. I also support the development and management of digital tools to enhance the customer experience as well as assisting with process changes to improve trade show management. It is my duty to develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, and trade show suppliers such as travel bureaus, convention centers, exhibit agencies and shipping agents.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Throughout my placement, I have not felt like a 'student', I have felt like a valued member of the team. I have managed 'real projects' such as planning trade shows or developing new software/ apps. These projects have given me so much responsibility which has allowed me to gain and develop my transferable skills, develop as an individual and build a strong network within Cummins.
