Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I was responsible for maintaining a cash pool of 15+ currencies, issuing European Commercial Paper, Bank Guarantees, making regular payments to provide the funds at the right place and right time, cash-flow forecasting, supporting the internal audit activities, and business partnering and collaboration across functions.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given adequate responsibilities however, I was keen to learn more therefore asked for additional responsibilities.

I got the support throughout my placement year each time I asked for it. The Manager and senior manager were very supportive and guided me in every step.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
My line manager made the atmosphere comfortable and friendly that enabled me to ask for help more than usual which was satisfying and helpful to learn the role. Everybody is kind and supportive.

What advice would you give to others applying to Cummins
My advice would be to be more enthusiastic while learning about the new role. Don't hesitate taking additional responsibilities if you are keen to learn, that will eventually help you to widen your skill set and knowledge. Be proactive in doing thing even without been told.
