Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
1) Providing dimensional control for the project from primary survey stations. This includes
grid-lines, datum’s and offsets where required. Also assists the site engineer with this role.
2) Assisting the project management team in the delivery of Health, Safety & Environment presentations. For example, assisting with project inductions.
3) Completing as-built surveys.
4) Following instruction and understands the basics of digital information systems i.e. I-Site, Field View.
5) Understanding the basics of method statements and risk assessments
6) Learning the basics of concrete cube making
7) Working collaboratively with other SISK/Sub-contractors Engineers and gains experience from those around them

The support I received from senor managers and engineers were incredible; they were very patient with me and taught me everything they could. Without their help I would not have progressed at all.

Sisk is a very inclusive company that offers opportunity to all people with different background. They are an Irish company with international projects as well. The projects are well managed and all the staff are supportive and help undergraduates/graduates to grow through their career.
