Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

Attended department talks, Q&A sessions, and training. Worked on set written task when there was time in between and experienced two different practice areas. Did a lot of socialising with people across different seniority levels to learn more about the firm.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

There were sessions dedicated to understanding the role and future roles available. Current trainees also provided a lot of insight which was great.

I definitely developed legal research skills through the written tasks we got set. Also I improved my understanding of what working in a corporate environment is like.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

It was incredibly friendly, everyone was very approachable at all levels. I enjoyed that people still took the work very seriously, but didn’t take themselves too seriously. I felt comfortable asking questions and chatting to people in general.
