Spring Week Analyst Review

We did intro sessions on the first day. For Makets Division, we participated in a trading simulation on Tuesday where we experienced the role of asset managers and investment bankers. On the last two day, we did exciting desk shadowing and product sessions.

It was an exciting experience that broadened my perspective. Through the product session, I discovered a particular interest in Rates, MQA, and Securitisation. It helped me gain clarity on my career path and where my interests lie.

I gained a lot of knowledge about the roles of buy-side and sell-side traders—for example, how to set a reasonable bid and offer price. Moreover, through the networking sessions, I’ve become more comfortable and confident when speaking with others.

The environment is friendly and supportive. It fosters personal growth through initiatives like desk shadowing and product sessions, and it encourages us to explore different career pathways. I also appreciated the international and inclusive community, which actively supports minorities. Everyone was incredibly approachable during desk shadowing, and I felt comfortable asking questions and learning from their experiences.

I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Every part of the event made me feel included, and the sessions were highly interactive, often followed by engaging Q&A discussions. I also appreciated how much financial and technical knowledge I gained throughout the program. Additionally, I really valued the opportunity to network with other talented interns.
