Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Monday entailed learning about Citi and the firm’s values. Whereas on Tuesday the banking team learnt the different banking division. This included corporate banking, IB and CM. On Wednesday we spent time on the floor learning in first person what our chosen fields do on a day to day basis.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was incredibly insightful, as it helps you understand what opportunities are available. This makes sure that when we apply for summer internships, we know that we have applied for fields we would enjoy.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Everyone was very kind and welcoming. In addition to myself requesting to talk and meet with the employees of Citi, my interviewer even reached out to me and asked if I’d like to meet whilst I’m in the office.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Citi
The firm highly prioritises soft skills and if the employees are willing to work with you. This creates a very admirable culture. Therefore, it is important to display your people skills in the applications.
