Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Networking with trainees, associates and partners in a range of practice areas, from employment to real estate.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was really insightful to learn about the several routes into qualifying as a solicitor. Speaking to trainees from a range of backgrounds clarified that a direct training contract is not the only option, and spending some time working as a paralegal is also highly beneficial.
In regards to understanding the business, I developed a strong understanding of how the firm operates and the things it does best, namely its level of training and support for solicitors in all positions.

I found this a very valuable experience which taught me a lot about different practice areas that commercial lawyers work in, particularly banking & finance, corporate, employment and restricting & insolvency.
I improved my commercial awareness, my confidence and my understanding of not only the firm, but the legal industry more generally.
