Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Technology analyst working in the Barclays operation team.
Interns will be randomly allocated to different teams, some team contains multiple intern while some contains only one intern. Responsibility differs from team to team.
My responsibility during the internship is to maintain and rebrand the company Tableau site, and carried out a data analysis project using python based on the internal company risk data, drawing insight on potential risk and possible improvements for future.

As mentioned previously, responsibility differs between teams, and for myself I was responsible for the Tableau site and survey data analysis project.

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
A lot, my members on the team offer great support to blend me in.
From my line manager, even though she is very busy with meetings, she would set aside time to communicate with me and confirm if everything is going on well.
And outside the team, the company offers great supporting and training sessions for all interns, like excel and company business training.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Barclays is more like a home instead of a company, my team members would celebrate my birthday, organize English afternoon tea when all works are finished, they even offered me a big pack of British cusine on my last day of work, which is amazing. I also introduced them some traditional Chinese snack as well lol

Barclays love people with good personalities, and that's what I've experienced during my internship, people are welcoming and friendly all the way.
