Working on a ticketing system providing support for users. Assisting the CSIRT team with their incident response.

I was given responsibility within the team and responsibility to work on my own projects.

I had a mentor who I had weekly 1-1 meetings with. I had a Women-in-Stem mentor. I had monthly catchups with my manager to ensure I was happy in the work place and enjoying the work I was doing.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Everyone is really friendly and supportive. There is a good atmosphere and a no blame culture. People are able to work freely and enjoy the work they are doing.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I loved my placement here at G-Research, the team were welcoming and friendly. The team were happy to teach me the different skills I needed for the job and allowed me to work at my own pace. This is one of the best if not the best internships to do.
