Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Worked under my supervisor and was given tasks mainly by them including legal drafting, legal research, giving presentations, creating client memos and attending court proceedings.
I was given a large variety of tasks throughout the internship but also was given time to speak to other members of the firm to gain a better understanding.

Yes, I largely did the tasks on my own, with guidance from my supervisor when requested. The tasks were then looked over and edited after,

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Yes - developed my legal research and drafting skills. I also picked up a new skill for writing attendance notes for what was said during a client meeting. Additionally, i developed my oral skills via the opportunity to give a presentation.

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
A lot of support - the team was really supportive going into the internship and every single member made time to include me or extend a helping hand when necessary. The trainee buddy and supervisor were my main points of call for supportive and they were amazing, constantly communicating and extremely willing to explain things like the firm's systems to me,

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Great - everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The open-plan layout made it easier to speak to people when needed and also made me more visible to those around me.
