Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Help out with all the different teams, tasks included completing pension calculations, drafting reports and checking pensions data. Also had a project throughout the internship with a presentation at the end.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes definitely was able to help out with important projects and was given the chance to meet a lot of colleagues through the work.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

Definitely learnt a lot about the pensions industry as a whole and more in depth knowledge about the company. Really improved with things like excel and word. Learnt about a variety o things specific to the position including soft skills like leading a client meeting.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

There was definitely a lot of support, everyone was happy to help answer questions or help with work I found confusing. It's a great work environment.
