Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Summer analyst. The day-to-day involved a diverse set of tasks. These included participating and preparing morning calls, financial modelling, creating investor and client decks, proposing and presenting trade ideas, and writing macro updates.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

A lot, nearly on a daily basis we would participate in morning/afternoon calls, we assisted in making decks which were sent to clients, our macro and equity updates were sent to clients and investors, etc.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Great, really supportive and happy to spend time with interns, it really surprised me as it was a very different culture relative to industry average. Again, depends on individual personalities, I had no issues whatsoever.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I loved everything about it, from the work to the people it was all very engaging. You could tell the bank cared about interns and invested a lot of time and resources into the program.
