Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Shadowing my placement team two days a week. Other time is filled with working on two projects with other interns and taking part in development sessions.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I have been able to make contributions to my placement team as a result of responsibility over creating certain excel documents. The projects with other interns enables us to be completely responsible for the outcome.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I have developed my communications skills through constantly working with others. Practical exposure to what i have studied in my degree has allowed me to develop my knowledge. I have developed my IT skills as I have been working entirely from home.

My line manager and buddy have been very supportive. Support is very accessible, i have lots of contacts i could go to. Technical problems resolved through "ask archie". General attitude is very supportive

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Very good. Lots of social events organised for interns as well as mixers. Mixers organised with finance graduates also.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

Really enjoyed so far. Work is captivating. Team are supportive and inclusive. Company culture appears to be good. Exceeds expectations. Definitely would go back.
