Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
At Arup I worked on a range of projects, leading to many outputs such as; 3D models, reports, presentations, drawings and more. My day to day would involve communicating with different grades of engineers working together to produce the best output. I have attended many site visits and client meetings during my placement.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given a great amount of responsibility while on placement, working towards deadline and deliverables. This has allowed me to develop at a optimised rate, learning much faster than I though I could do. I was appointed roles such as organiser of a bi-weekly CPD sessions. These responsibility promoted growth in my skills and created the environment for me to have continual personal development.

This experience has exceeded my anticipation. The amount of development i have had has significant surpassed my expectations. I have learnt a countless amount of new skills and developed upon all my existing skills.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I received a great amount of support and guidance, if i ever had a question there was always someone available to help. I was appointed a "buddy" when arriving at Arup. This has been very helpful throughout my time at Arup.
