Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

My role has been divided into numerous tasks. I have daily stand up and scrum meetings, usually dispersed with 1 to 1s with my team and I complete coding or other manual tasks in my other time.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, I was given a project management role that allowed me to take on a lot of responsibility and challenge my skills of working alongside a large team. I also contributed to many projects that will be used after my internship, implying a degree of responsibility.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I have learnt to use DOS commands and use PowerShell
I have also used SQL
I have learnt more about project management, run books and organising releases.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I received a large amount of support and guidance from my manager and the whole of my team. I also attended networking events that allowed me to meet people outside of my area, who provided me with advice and different perspectives on guiding a career.
