Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I attended meetings where at times i had to taking minutes and take notes to assisted team members. I complete a variety of task both qualitative and quantitative in nature, which included using tools such as excel, word and PowerPoint. I work on an intern business project with the aid of other interns and presented it in front of a small audience. I also engaged with self development tasks, which aided with my coding knowledge and improve my office skill set such as minitue taking.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

yes. Everything i did was a key project and act of support to the team

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

Yes I have developing my coding skills. Mostly focusing on python and SQL as those are commonly used with risk section. I had several opportunities to sharpen my presentation skills including a training. I also received many opportunities to get some practice in minute taking. I was provided with several resources to help me with it.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

Plently. We were given graduate buddies for support our wellbeing. The managers where kind and supportive of all our work. Everyone iw anted to talk to were more than happy to engage with me.
