To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I did not enjoy it, I cam with good expectations, and I saw the other interns have these expectations met in their teams but me personally, I did not have the same experience.

What advice would you give to others applying to American Express
Definitely do not look at my experience as how American express is, it is a really great place with great teams and projects and opportunities, I think I just had an unlucky exeprience.
I would suggest you try and be social from the start, everyone is nice and helpful and you wont be bothering them. Just work hard and show them what you can do and that you want to learn more.
