Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Reviewing Reports, substantive testing, engaging on team meetings and activities and also engaging with clients in the form of requesting documents and providing an understanding of the audit journey
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Definitely, PWC trust you to do actual work with the expectation that you ask as many questions as possible to develop your understanding and perform high quality work. I was allowed to be involved in regular client meetings including a Walkthrough of a company.
Tasks are somewhat easier than usual audit work but they are just as important to the overall opinion

What advice would you give to others applying to PwC
Be yourself and be open to asking questions and getting involved, also be open to learn everyone's from a different background and if you are open to learning they will help you. Its not all about how clever you are.
