Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

It varies everyday, depending on what projects you are currently working on. I am currently on 2 different projects so I split my days working on both projects doing the relevant coding for those projects.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, the work I am doing will actually contribute to the projects I am working on. They will always make sure I'm comfortable with what I'm doing and help me to do the best I can.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

Yes my python skills have hugely improved from coding everyday. My networking and social skills have also improved as everyone is so friendly and prepared to talk about their work. I have learnt how to adapt to new concepts and ideas and apply them to real life work.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Very friendly and welcoming. From my very first day I was welcomed by everyone and never felt out of place. It made it a very healthy and happy place to work.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I have enjoyed my internship very much. Not only have I got the chance to expand my technical skills and got some real experience in an office job, the welcoming and friendly atmosphere of the office positively impacted me to become a more confident person.
