Project Management Intern Review

On a day-to-day basis, I support project managers on the work they're currently doing. This involves partaking in meetings, completing admin tasks and ensuring the efficient running of the project. In addition to this, I regularly participate in various training to develop my existing skills, as well as learning more about project management principles. Its been really good to be able to feel like I play a role in current work and projects, whilst also being able to learn and develop my skills in a new environment.

Yes, in addition to assisting on live work under guidance, I was also given small tasks to complete by myself. I felt comfortable doing this, as I was happy and encouraged to ask questions, as well as knowing my work would be reviewed before submission. In addition, I also completed an internal project with another intern, for use within the project management department

I have had the chance to develop my existing skills in a new corporate environment, such as time management, organisation and teamwork. I've had to adapt these skills to a corporate setting, managing my time and organising my to do list around meetings, and working with new people with varying levels of experience. In terms of new skills, I've engaged in a variety of training courses to learn specifically about project management.

I was fully supported throughout my internship, with constant guidance always available. I was always briefed before work, and felt more than comfortable asking questions. I was also fully aware of the chain of command, and how to decide who was best to go to for help

So friendly and social. I always felt extremely welcomed and everybody always stopped to introduce themselves. I was encouraged to reach out to different people in different teams to ask about the work they were doing, and felt incredibly comfortable doing so.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my internship, its given me a chance to learn about the technical and commercial job opportunities that are available in this industry, as well as allowing me to network, make connections and get a better idea of what my future career will look like.
